Vicky Donor is a 2012 Bollywood comedy film directed by Shoojit Sircar. It tells the story of Vicky Malhotra (Rajkumar Rao), a young man who donated blood to save the life of an accident victim, but was then blackmailed into donating his sperm to childless couples in exchange for money. The movie focuses on the societal pressures faced by individuals when they are unable to have children. The movie was shot in locations such as Goa, Mumbai, and Karnataka. The film was produced by Ravi Teja and Ashish R Mohan under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and V Creations. The story begins with a retired teacher named Vijay Kant Jha (Narendra Jha), who is not married, lives alone in a small house. His sister is a haematology specialist and developer of an artificial ovary called Vicky Donor. It has been fifteen years since his sister passed away from cancer. The only joy he has from his life is from the donation of blood to save a baby’s life at the hospital where she worked as a doctor. He visits the hospital on a regular basis to meet his friend Dr. Anjali Verma (Konkona Sen Sharma). Dr. Anjali Verma and her friend, Simone (Usha Gupta), try to find single donors for infertile couples, but nobody is willing to donate. Vicky Malhotra (Rajkumar Rao) finds himself in a difficult situation when he commits a hit and run accident with his father’s Mercedes-Benz killing an old woman named Chunnibai. He is not worried about the repercussions of his actions, because he assumes his rich father will take care of it. He becomes worried when the police begin investigating the case and arrest him. He desperately searches for ways to escape any legal consequences. Vicky’s friend, Pappi (Munna Sharma), brings him to his family home for help. His father (Manoj Pahwa) is very fond of Vicky and helps him out whenever he needs money; however, his wife (Kuljit Singh) is critical of his son. They send Vicky to Mumbai, where he is looked after by Pappi’s family. In Mumbai, Vicky is introduced to Bijay Kumar Gupta (Varun Badola), a wealthy man who has fathered three children from two women in Mumbai and Delhi through surrogacy. Gupta wants to raise his children through surrogacy, but the cost of hiring a surrogate is too high for him. Therefore, he goes to Goa to search for donors. Vicky meets the Guptas’s social worker (Sunil Shetty), Javier Kongare (Karan Kittu), who convinces Vicky that he can find him a job in Goa. It is revealed that Bijay Kumar Gupta has also donated blood, and many donor-conceived children are expected to attend Vicky's school. cfa1e77820
